Julian is SIX!

Here I go again with the "Where does the time go" cliche... but, in all fairness, unless you are not enjoying life, time does speed by us without our consent. We blink and our kids are a year older. It's also a positive sign of growth, maturing, and independence. Julian turns SIX YEARS OLD today, has graduated Kindergarten like a "CHAMP" and is set to begin his first Summer Camp adventures. He undoubtedly is naturally protective of his baby sister, affectionate, sensitive, loving, intelligent, profoundly passionate about his ever-changing interests, has always been and will always be one of our greatest blessings..

At six years old

• Weigh approximately 55 lbs and around 47.5 inches
• Wear size 7 shirts and pants, size 13 shoe 
• Sleep from 8:30 pm till 7:30 am - no more complaints in this area; you fall asleep as soon as the light is off :)
• Mommy unintentionally skipped the 5th birthday milestones. In my defense, the milestones are much more pronounced as a baby, right now, you are just cruising by...
• You did incredible your first year of school and have been labeled as "Gifted and Talented" by your school district
• You know how to read! :)
• In school, you gravitated more towards writing and drawing. I have yet to see if you are good with numbers, like your mommy. 
• You made friends quite easily in Kindergarten and your best friends were Caleb and Noah
• Cameron and Craig and still your besties too!
• At the beginning of the school year, you claimed Taylor to be your wife, but you quickly had a change of heart and now no one is going to be your wife because you said you want to live with mommy and daddy forever. I will remind you of this, when you leave us. 
• Have recently become a fan of Minecraft and have built some elaborate houses and rooms.
• For some years now you have become a little hoarder. You like to save so many things like papers, boxes, etc. but eventually you throw them away.
• You have followed in mommy's footsteps in that you love pencils, crayons, markers, notepads...
• Not a big fan of food besides the usual Chikfila, Whataburger, and Pizza. We are bad parents! 
• You are a goofball and our social bug. You can make anyone laugh with your silly faces :)
• You really have become a master of negotiations. Mommy and daddy fall for it EVERY time.
• You are your sister's BIGGEST fan and I believe you reciprocate that love back to her.
• You are the sweetest, most compassionate and respectful young man and we are overjoyed and proud to call you our son.
