As almost all parents have admitted, you tend to be less paranoid/dramatic and a LOT more lax with the second child when it comes to things like dirt, clean pacifiers, etc. I guess after doing everything "by the book" the first time, you realize that 1) babies are resilient 2) learn pretty fast as they go, and 3) you realize a little dirt doesn't hurt! With that, I give you a perfect girl version of Julian. I say this because Lauren is starting to look a lot like her big brother and is following in his genetic footsteps. My little princess is TEN months old and out of the single digit months. Insane to think she will be one in just two very short months. I can only imagine what the next two months have in store, but as always, I am so eager to find out.
At 10 months, Lauren...
- Weigh approximately 24 lbs (up there just like her brother at this age)
- Wear size 18-24 month clothes and size 4 diapers
- You sleep from 8:30 pm - 7:00 am , and I LOVE you for this
- Wake time is consistently 3 hours and you nap at the 3 hour mark almost like clock-work
- You nap twice a day for 1.5-2 hours (time varies depending on when you woke up). You usually do not nap on the way home from grandma's anymore.
- You mimic facial expressions and sounds - another one of my favorites
- You learned how to tell us "NO" by shaking your head back and forth, which really helps you when you don't like certain foods - video below
- Know what "splash" means and you do it every time I ask during bath time
- Still absolutely love bath time
- Went swimming for the first time on 6/7 and absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, you got sick a couple of days later so we have to wait for you to be a lot better health wise to reattempt
- Love to watch TV ~ See my justification above ;)
- Starting to dance
- You now have 4 teeth!
- Took part in Daddy's "Father's Day" tradition
- Prefer to eat food over drinking your formula. You have never been a fan of formula and I can understand why. You are down to 5 ozs every 4 hours which equates to 20 ozs a day total.
- Your clap is really your hands going up and down instead and you do it in such an adorable way
- 2 Months away your 1st birthday ~ Countdown has begun!
This is what happens when I turn my back for one second
