Happy 2nd Birthday to Juju!

Happy 2nd Birthday to my sweet Julian. Baby boy, you continue to amaze us in all that you have accomplished by age 2, as you can see below, you have accomplished a lot for a little guy and yet you keep growing everyday and surprising us more and more.

At 2 years old, here is what you're doing...

• Are about 34.5lbs and 35 inches tall.  

• Wear size 2T and size 7.5 shoes ~ we will call you "Little Big Foot" 
• Wear size 5 diapers, but size 6 might fit better; however, gas prices are at $3.50 and I need to save in other areas! Too bad you are sooo not interested in the potty ~ it still scares you! LOL 
• You sleep from 9:30pm - 8:30 am and take between 1.5 to 2 hour naps. I like that you wake up late but sometimes 9:30pm is a little too late for mommy. Daddy obviously does not mind!
• We have managed to keep up the routine for bedtime (bath then sleep) but for some reason the times just keep getting later and later. That's your dad's fault. hehehe
• For a couple of weeks, you would request cold water during bath time, not warm. Even though I insisted otherwise, you fought me tooth and nail until I relinquished for only a few seconds. Mommy doesn't want a sick baby, TRUST ME! This didn't last long and hopefully you are over it! 
• Are persistent because you do not give up on what you want until we surrender to your demands (something we need to work on). 
• You are also very cautious because you tell us everything scares you so you check things out to make sure they are okay before you proceed freely. A very cute quality, but hopefully one you will outgrow for your own sake. :)
• You absolutely continue to love cars and its the adult cars you prefer, I might add. You have 2 of your own vehicles that you drive for 5 seconds then give up because you want to drive "Daddy's car" or "Mommy's Jeep", as you have named them.
• Love Yo Gabba Gabba and Mickie Mouse. Thomas the Train has faded...
• For reasons of your very own, you love Chuck E. Cheese and this is where your 2nd party was held on June 9th.
• Here is where mommy brags and brags.... You can identify ALL 26 letters and can count to 20! You leave out 13 and 15, nonetheless, it it such a very big accomplishment!
• Another bragging right ~ You can identify 10 colors and 4 of which you know in both English and Spanish! (Red, Yellow/Amarillo, Blue/Azul, Green/Verde, Purple, Black, Brown/Cafe, Pink, Orange, White).
• Favorite color is blue and you make that very clear when you ask for your blue car or blue pajama blanket, etc.
• You LOVE to sing! Favorite songs...   "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", "Row, Row, Row your Boat", "The Wheels on the Bus", "ABCs", "Bingo","Old McDonald", and the infamous "Shake Your Booty"
• You're favorite adult song "Someody I Used to Know" from Gotye is on heavy replay on the way home from work. You can often be heard saying "I like it this song".
• You love to draw with crayons and chalk. Among the requests you ask for us to draw are specifically the letter "H", car, flower, and even a motorcycle. You have learned to draw in prohibited areas!
• Are truly and most notably OBSESSED with keys!!! And not just any keys, it is mommy and daddy's car keys that you ask for as soon as you wake up.  It is even the first thing you say to me when I pick you up after work. My deer boy, I wonder where you are going with this key obsession.
• Like secrets whispered in your ear thanks to your favorite Tia Buca Buca. Might I add that you have proved sooo many times that you truly know how to say Monica but refuse to do so when it comes to your Tia Buca Buca!
• Love books, puzzles, and sometimes blocks.
• Your absolute favorite meal is Chicken with Broccoli and steamed rice from "888 Restaurant". You even request it randomly for lunch and dinner. 
• You also love turkey weinies and Cocoa Cocoa Pebbles cereal
• You love chocolate, you are My Dad's grandson!
• Like to close anything that is left open...doors, cabinets, refrigerator, trash can...
• Can say your name (excluding middle name) and I have to admit you say your last name way clearer and better than most adults do! Good job!!!
• You talk way more than I ever imagined. You are now to 4-5 word sentences and you can say and repeat ANYTHING clearly!!!!
• The boy in you that is rambunctious and energetic could never get you tired. You can run outside for hours and yet you will still fight your sleep. 
• You are now making funny faces which are TOTALLY ADORABLE! Your spunky personality is already coming through.
• We are truly blessed to have a gorgeous, energetic, curious, and funny boy in our lives and thank God every day for you. We can not even begin to understand how in the world you are two years old already. Although its hard to believe and even sad to realize that the time is speeding through, it is also a wonderful thing to know that time continues to allow us to see you grow in the boy you are and the man you will be.
