I know baby literature has repeatedly said that babies (before reaching one month of age) smile when passing gas or feeling content and NOT as a reaction to stimulation, I, on the other hand, have VERY good reason to believe otherwise. While talking to Julian and telling him how much mommy and daddy love him, he smiled and kept smiling!!!! I may be foolish, but believe that he was responding to me and loved hearing how much we adore him. ;)

Our little boy just melts my heart.
I believe you Deb, he loves his mommy's voice and of course he's a smart baby!!! He is so sweet and brings happiness to so many hearts!
You make me smile so of course you would make your own son smile! I have to say that I love the hunger "not so happy" face just as much! Enjoy your time with him. They grow up so fast. Miss you guys. Hope to see you soon. XOXO
Ditto Traci! I'm loving the pucker! And of course he is smiling for you, no matter what the reason. :-)
