Nothing to say other than we are so delighted to have reached some big milestones this month.
Lauren, at 8 Months:
- Weigh approximately 21-22 pounds
- Wear size 9 & 12 months clothes and size 3 or 4 diapers (still a little big)
- You are still enjoying 6 ounces of milk every four hours and enjoy 3 baby food meals and a couple of snacks a day.
- You are sleeping from around 8pm-6am. Sometimes you even wake at 5:30am... which is a little earlier than I want, but I honestly will not complain considering the past.
- Daily schedule sorta remains the same, with 2 long naps and one evening cat nap. Sometimes you are one hour off, here and there.
- At 7 months and 3 weeks, your naps have been sooo inconsistent. Don't know where this is headed?
- Officially started crawling on 4/11!!!! You seem to get a little impatient while crawling (see video below), but things have picked up rather quickly and you are all over the place now.
- You can go from laying down to sitting position!!
- You try to lift yourself up on furniture or toys. Standing is your new mission and as of today, it has been accomplished on your 8 month birthday!
- Because you were trying to stand, you had your first big boo-boo on your forehead, which unfortunately are on your 8 month pictures. This will probably one of many more to come with your new found mobility.
- You no longer take a bath in your baby tub and now you bathe with big brother.
- You now refuse to lay down when you drink your bottle, which is a challenge.
- You indiscriminately have said "Dada" twice and "Mamma" a few more times. Your favorites are "baba" and "papa".
- You cough on purpose, just like your big brother did at this age.
- You also started to growl, which is quite entertaining.
- You celebrated your first Easter and you looked so adorable in your Easter dress. You can thank Tia Monica for that dress, it was perfect on you!
- You absolutely LOVE oranges and mango, just like your big brother!
- Your hair is finally growing and I can't wait to do your first pig tails. Even though that's a long time from now, I am still super excited!
- You squeal with delight when you see your brother. Video below to show just how much you get excited when you see him.
- Your pincer grasp has greatly improved. You can grab every single little cereal I give you. You don't like to put just one in your mouth, you try to get as many as possible.
- Lord knows I have been praying every night about your little eye and I believe he has answered my prayers!!! Your tear duct is miraculously no longer clogged!
- And the Lord also knows the depth of our love which is indescribable. We adore and love you so so much, big girl!
