Lauren is 7 Months Old

Nothing more to say other than, we are all completely, madly, and insanely in love with this gorgeous beauty God has blessed us with.

Lauren, at 7 Months:

• Weigh approximately 20 pounds
• Wear size 9 & 12 months clothes and size 3 diapers
• You drink 6 ounces every four hours and enjoy 3 baby food meals a day
• Finally rolled from tummy to back on 3/5
• Sleep from around 8pm-7am. As of 2/27, mommy stopped feeding you at night and although it was only 2 nights of madness from you, you started sleeping through the night F.I.N.A.L.L.Y!!!!!!!!!!
• You are also sleeping un-swaddled! YAY!!!
• Daily schedule remains the same, with 2 long naps and one evening cat nap
• You learned to drink out of a straw
• You can move items from hand to hand
• Got your first two teeth on March 6th, two more are on the way
• You giggle when mommy plays peek-a-boo
• You did superb on your first professional 6 month pictures
• You undoubtedly love the camera
• You did not like your first juice box, another odd thing!
• You lunge yourself forward and get on all fours ~ you are due to crawl any day now
• Still love watching Baby Channel 
• Starting to scrunch your face with a smile, absolutely adorable
• As expected at this age, EVERYTHING goes in the mouth
• You like, but no longer love, your exersaucer. I think you think you can walk already 
• You learned how to walk in your walker forward almost immediately, very impressive
• You get so so excited when you see mommy and daddy after work. You especially want mommy to hold you and fuss if I give you to someone else. YOU LOVE ME!!!! Muah!
• You are the most beautiful girl in our eyes
• You and your brother love each other very much

Lauren's 6 Month Portraits

 

Half a Year Old!

You are Half a year old today! I am very fortunate, blessed, and grateful to watch you grow before my eyes every day, but I am also so so sad that as my last baby, you are growing up too fast and it just makes me wish babies came from storks and we could have them so easily all the time...oh, and they slept all night. OK, back to reality! You continue to amaze us with your beautiful wonder and curiosity that exists in that perfect little brain of yours. When I tell you we love, adore, and are obsessed with you, I am not exaggerating.  

• Weigh 19 lbs 2 ozs (95%) and 26" tall (62%) with a head circumference of 17.5in (93%) as of 2/28/2014
• Wear size 9 months clothes and size 3 diapers
• You sometimes drink 5-6 ounces every four hours and enjoy 2 baby food meals a day. Doctor has approved 3 meals a day since you don't drink enough formula
• You do NOT like bananas. Weird, I know!
• You took your first Valentine's pictures with mommy and you did great!
• Started sitting unassisted really well on 2/8/2014
• Sat on your first shopping cart on 2/9/2014 (see pic below)
• Rolled from back to tummy on 2/18/2014
• Sleep from around 8pm-6am. You still wake up to eat! Although, you slept from 8-6am on 2/27 & 2/28 ~ ALL NIGHT!!!
• Daily schedule remains the same, but we managed to make bedtime between 7:30-8pm to encourage you to sleep past 5am
• Had your first baby mum mum and you weren't crazy about it
• You like to pull daddy and big brother's hair (see pic below)
• You are learning how to drink out of sippy cups, but you seem to let the water come running out of your mouth instead of drinking it. I believe you like to chew on the spout instead
• You let mommy and daddy kiss you over and over on those delicious cheeks of yours
• You are such a smiley baby, but as soon as a stranger is within reach, you are so serious
• You analyze and scan any rooms you are not accustomed being in (i.e. Grandma's back room)
• Take 2 two hour naps and one cat nap in the evening. We still need to rock back to sleep sometimes after thirty minutes.
• Love watching Baby Channel and also Caillou with big brother at home
• You communicate with your eyes a lot. Even grandma seems to think so. Example: You look at TV and then turn to me. If you could talk, I'm sure you would be saying, "Turn on the TV, woman!"
• You still love to grab and scratch. You especially scratch at your carseat and the sound of it just makes me laugh when I'm driving. I'm sure it will eventually not be so cute. 
• Love your exersaucer and can be in it for as long as 20 minutes. Thank goodness for this because it helps mommy & daddy when chores need to get done in the evening. 
• We tried putting you in the walker, but you can't reach the floor yet.
• You don't babble as much, but when you do it's quite entertaining
• You are half a year old and that makes mommy happy & sad. Mostly happy because you are growing every day :)
