Smiles

I know baby literature has repeatedly said that babies (before reaching one month of age) smile when passing gas or feeling content and NOT as a reaction to stimulation, I, on the other hand, have VERY good reason to believe otherwise. While talking to Julian and telling him how much mommy and daddy love him, he smiled and kept smiling!!!! I may be foolish, but believe that he was responding to me and loved hearing how much we adore him. ;)

Here is the proof:

And then there was hunger...

Pause

Someone needs to invent a remote in order to fast forward, rewind, and pause time. Fast forward to move past the sleepless nights, rewind for all the cute things he does and I want to relive, and pause to prevent my baby from growing up. I can NOT believe its been two weeks that Julian has been with us and yet it feels like yesterday I was in the delivery room giving birth.

This has truly been the most life-changing and most rewarding thing I've ever done in my entire life. Even though I feel like sometimes I am going to break this kid or mess something up on him, he is truly worth waking up each day and thanking God for such a blessed life. Being blessed for being able to be a mom to my beautiful son and for being a wife to my wonderful husband. I know I do not post very often, but hopefully I make up for lost time by adding the link below of most of the pictures we have taken so far.

Happy One Week Old Birthday!

I can not believe its been one week that Julian has been with us. Time seems to escape us when we want it to go slower. I am one of the luckiest girls in the world to have 2 of my favorite males in my life be so alike. Not only does Julian take after his daddy's looks, but it seems like he takes after his appetite as well. I couldn't be more in love with both of my boys!!!!! :) Being the eager and excited parents that we are, we have managed to take over 200 pictures and over 20 videos of the same poses and inactivity, but somehow we view these photos with excitement EVERYTIME. See below pics of Julian's first week...

Welcome Baby Julian

Well as many of you know, our sweet baby boy, Julian Cade Hinojosa joined us on June 10, 2010 at 3:11am. Weighing 8 lb 14 oz and 21.5 inches long of SWEETNESS! We couldn't be more elated at the idea of taking care of such an amazing kiddo that we can call our own. Ever since experiencing the thrill of holding him in my arms for the very first time, my life has changed in such a way that only a mother can know. Julian is as sweet as one can imagine and has filled our hearts with so much joy.

39 weeks and still no baby...

Today was my 39 week appointment and much to my dismay, there was AGAIN no change or progress. Either way, this time next week, we will have Julian in our arms. Until then, keep your fingers crossed!!!

38 Week Update

At my 38 week appointment, I was disappointed to hear that no progress was made and I am still 2 cm dilated. Doctor has given me the option to wait until Julian is ready to enter the world, but if I hit my due date (June 14th) with a no-show from my son, I am forced to get him out on June 15th at 7:15am! Please pray that he comes sooner so I can finally have my cuddle bug in my arms instead of in my belly.
